Something Beautiful

This photo was taken on Phillip Island during my graduation trip to Melbourne. The six day trip marked the end of my high school journey.

Architecture

Bosco Verticale (Vertical Forest) located in Milan, Italy, is a pair of residential towers housing more than 900 trees, 5000 shrubs and 11 000 perennial plants. The plants provide oxygen, improve air quality, increase biodiversity and also moderate temperatures. The building is also self-sufficient on renewable energy, reducing its carbon footprint whilst meeting housing demands.

Short Fiction: 'Are you happy?'

This short fiction has been my most extensive creative work so far. As part of my English Extension 2 course, I spent almost a year conducting research, drafting, and editing my story. I wanted to criticise the modern American Dream through the eyes of a middle aged protagonist experiencing an existential crisis. The story is intended to leave the reader questioning their own purpose in life.
