The Stair Concept Model

Section drawings
material: wood (white oak)

Description:

The designed staircase allows my client (Khyzyl Saleem) to travel between the below ground studio, which has easy access to the parking garage, and the ground level showroom. The concept for my stairs stems from the idea of optimising floor space in a studio workshop environment. The staircase serves the additional function of a book shelf, one on each side of the staircase, with adjustable dividers to store artworks and other items.
